Submission Guidelines

The Hampstead Literary Society Journal welcomes submissions across a wide range of styles and subjects. We invite submissions of up to 50 lines (poetry) and not exceeding 2,000 words (prose). Submissions (not more than 5) are accepted by Email only, addressed to hampsteadlitsoc@gmail.com. A covering Email should include your full contact details, together with a numbered list of your submissions. These should be attached as individual A4 pages in WORD, with each item numbered as per your covering Email.

Your material will be sympathetically reviewed by members of our editorial team and we will aim to let you have our considered response within one month. We regret that we are not able to enter into detailed correspondence on submissions. We do not consider submissions of work which have already been published elsewhere in any form. To help us cut down on our labours you should advise us immediately if your work has been accepted elsewhere before we have reached a decision on your submission. Copyright remains with HLSJ, from whom written permission should be sought for re-publication elsewhere.
